Other Tv wiring

Well mayb this has already been discussed but just looking few opinions on wiring TVs
Tv going on fireplace on a job I'm on obv likes TVs boxes DVD players Xbox can't go up there so will fitted low level to side of fireplace, keep cost down don't want run 3 hdmi to tv and don't want use 2 cat5 cables converter either coz dearer n extra boxes needed for that so anyone any suggestions this will b downstairs of 2 story house so no access once wired.... Cheers any opinions will b gladly received thanks now
 
single hdmi cable to tv via switchable hub fed from other devices also if tv has an optical output feed a toslink cable through in case it needs connection to soundbar or surround system ect.
 
Did you have a look at the latest Samsung UHD curved tv's? They have a single cable going into the TV with all the rest of the connections in a breakout box.
 
Not all of them.. The UHD4K units have all of the connections on the back of the TV (at least 3 HDMI plus composite, etc.)

The cheaper ones do yes but the Mid-High range all have separate media boxes which can be upgraded if need be as this leaves the TV as a monitor only unit.

Also if your going to bury HDMI into a wall and plaster over it at least do it in conduit which leaves space for the cable to be replaced (HDMI do not last forever) and some can develop faults early, easier to pull through conduit than have to replaster the wall
