I Have a TP-Link WR740N Router flashed with DD-Wrt Firmware ,I am trying without success to route all my internet traffic through this router using Usnetserver VPN service.
I have followed the info on the UNS website but the details given don't seem to allow internet access and VPN access together. I was wondering if I could run both my ISP router and the TP Link router together one accessing the VPN and the other accessing the internet and if so is there any configuration details out there.

Cheers. Ed

pah ! I spent 20 minutes typing up a quality response, pressed the blue button and it erased the entire effort

Been there lol! Sometimes you can click 'restore saved content' & get it back- probably too late now :-(

I've just completed this.
Router is a fairly old buffalo linkstation WZR-HP-G300NH2. I re-flashed it with the latest (nightly) release of DD-WRT.
Because I live in an American Travel Trailer, I have to rely on a GSM dongle for my WAN/Internet access or my Android phone as a USB tether.
This router has a USB port for my 3G dongle. So I now have a paid sub to PureVPN which allows unlimited bandwidth (limited by your ISP / data package).
You can have 5 concurrent vpn connections with PureVPN, the router is a single connection.
The router is configured now as a VPN gateway for all of my lan connections.

Other uses are Android phone has a PureVPN app - easy to set up. Tablet, non lan devices etc.

PureVPN gives you over 50 servers all over the planet, you can choose which one you want to so one day you will "emerge" in Switzerland, or Holland or Spain etc. You can connect to any of their global servers and switch as often as you like, they do not limit bandwidth or block P2P (unless the server is hosted in a country where it is illegal) They encourage the use of P2P where legal (eg France).

There helpdesk and install guides are excellent and the service is very reliable and good value - approx £50 per year.

Not sure if affiliate links are allowed - I will delete the link if it is against the rules. I am an affiliate of PureVPN,

Hi Wobbly

I tried DD-WRT but I had a 3.5mb standard version and it did not seem to have enough options to get PTPP working.
OpenWRT with a GUI seemed much simpler to get up and running. I have a Usenetserver Usenet account and you get a free VPN Service if you take the 1 year option @ about £60. They also have about 40 servers worldwide.

I have a TP-Link WR842ND flashed with DD WRT and OpenVPN installed, using a great VPN service from a company called Earthvpn, works out at around £25 a year if you pay in advance. You can easily change between 32 countries, however, mine is set to access the UK as I am in Spain and need a UK IP address.
