port forwarding help

hi people

im trying to port forward and for some reason its not working

im using a linksey wrt54g router flashed with dd-wrtv54 sp2

the computer i want to port forward to i have gave it a static ip

Acer-Server 192.168.1.149 00:01:6C:6F:7C:E1 Static

thats how it shows up in status so its got a static ip linked to the mac

now on that pc if i try to check if a port is open on Open Port Check Tool
e.g. port 6112
i get a error and the reason is connection refused?

even if i try port 80

i have disabled firewall on router and on that pc

im confused???

Try whatsmyip.org on the system you want to connect to, try the ip that is shown
then on router open/forward ports below and above eg
19999-12001

Have you done all of this?

i got it sorted in the end

static ip linked to mac of pc

then as long as the programme that ur forwarding the port for is running then it works
