As long as it's BB provided by a BT landline and not Virgin cable then no problem. Though if it's not a freebie I would go with a better alternative than a BT homehub.

I've seen a hack for BT Homehub, not sure if it just unlocks it for DSL or if it's just so you can use it on other ADSL networks, I'll try and find out more info.

Edit

hi, the bt home hub is manufactered by speedtouch, to unlock is simple. downgrade the firmware back to speedtoch. this means the modem is totally unlocked with no problems what so ever, just back up you original settings, i have done many tests on the unlocked hub. i have it working is a wifi point for dsl, ethernet port 1 acts as the link (dsl cable modem >>>>>> ethernet port 1>>>>>>> wifi broadcast. the adsl slot is also still active. the only thing you cant do is have wifi dsl and a wired dsl computer. but you can connect 8 or more computer through wifi on the web interface menu. hope this helps guys.

Try Googling Home Hub Hack Cable Modem theirs plenty to read on the subject.
