hi am just woundering i have the new black bt home hub is there any way to get it to search for its own wireless connection or does it just recieve.. any help appreciated..

If you connect through a router, and have wireless on your PC, then just scan for networks, it will pick up whatever is in the area.

You cannot change what the hub picks up, cos it gets the signal from the phone line.

i'm not 100% sure, but i think u have to check that the hub is actually a wireless one that u got, as i'm sure it depends what package u've got with them depends on what hub there've given u

I've worked on these shedloads and long story short it will pick up anything that is in the area that is transmitting an SSID. There is no way you can make it pick up only its own SSID.

The sad thing as I see it it BT's hype on the product is not correct. It does not offer the fastest speeds out there and in general it appears that the HomeHub 2 spends a lot of time getting confused with its set up and is not a reliable product. They have a long ways to go to be as reliable as netgear products or the likes.
