new neighbour and router crashes

i got a new next door neighbour, and since hes moved in my router keeps crashing and im getting IP conflicts on my networked PCs

i now also have 2 new unknown items on my network, both with the same name

is there any way of me getting access to these 'unknown' machines?

i take it you have the wep turned on m8 making it secure, you could try changing the channel you have 1 to 11 i think on most router.

wep is on, and its changed from the default channel, ive now also selected to hide the SSID, i cant find a way to turn the wireless off though lol, ive unscrewed the aerial but i can still find the network using my phone

Digi get a firmware update for your router than change the security to either wpa or wpa2 asap.



wep can be cracked under 3 minutes.

Keep changing the channel until you find one that doesnt conflict, maybe take a few goes but it usually works or if you can move your router to another place.

And you shoulldnt be using wep either, its better than nothing though if you dont have WPA.
