fon hacked router forgot password

hi folks
i got fon router some time ago and did red boot(i think it was called that) hack to sort router.
All worked well and once i cracked i put a wpa keylock on and now i cant access it.
I have tried hard wired to connect and also trying to guess key i would have used but nothing working.
Is this scrap or is there any way to get into it .
I want to give to my dad and wasted far too many hours at it.

When you say 'hacked', I assume you mean you put some other firmware onto it. Why not just reflash it. There's a guide here for openwrt, but I guess you could flash any supported third party firmware onto it.

arnt those fon routers free or was that just a time limited offer?

they were free for a while but not now .
That sofware was what i used before but i cant seem to get into modem now.
If not "hack" how would you describe the process Beady?
