I have a linksys wireless router up and running no problems but have just aquired a netgear

wireless one the ones sky were giving out with there deals, thought i would swap them over

tonight but noticed that the wan port is smaller and the normal e/net plug is too big to fit into

this port is this normal ? is there an adaptor or way round this forgive me i am still a bit green

when it comes to routers and the like . Any help would be appreciated cheers.

I am guessing here, but have you got a cable line and do you have an adsl router in front of you. The adsl will have a phone jack plug and a cable router will have an ethernet plug....but only a guess as I said.

btw....enjoy kefalonia, I think you may have mentioned you are going there....lol

Yes your right Jaffa, does that mean i wont be able to use it via my modem ? is there any sort of adaptor that can be used, clutching at straws abit here, not sure at all.

p.s did i mention

p.s did i mention

Just once or twice m8.

No you canny use it, no good to you. It for adsl. The reason I thought that wasnt because I am smart, which I am.......not, but because Amazon sent me the wrong one, but replaced it immediately with the proper one, in fact they sent it next day delivery.
