Standard Wii not reading orig discs ?

Hi

Been given an unchippe/not flashed Wii that will not read originals. Sometimes it spins up and gives disc error most times it just takes disc, blue light flashes and hear a click and nothing ?

Is there a way to tweak laser or somethi9ng ??

Anyone got any ides ?

you could try a dvd cleaner disc or failing that replace the lazer or the complete dvd drive

there might be some lazer calibration software available

if you've got a ex hard drive get it softmodded and play the games from the hard drive using cfg usb loader, its the preferred method anyway.

Was thinking of that but owner wants option to rip games to the hdd.
