Running a Photo Gallery on the Website Home page

Be very greatful for any help I have a wordpress site its up and running
but making changes as I go along, I want to be able to run a gallery of images on the home page
but I think the only way I can do this is to put the code into a post then publish to the home page
but then I have to click the post to get it to run
I just want it to run soon as you got to my home page with out clicling anything.
The plugin I have been using is wp photo album plus, but just cant seem to work it out
will keep trying,
