What do you have original or a clone solo 2 ?

It's original. I'm not the best at this his box just went down over night. Has a hard drive in it would that need re formatting.?

No take any image you like say OpenATV format a usb stick to fat 32

1. Unzip image
2. Copy the folder to the root of the USB
3. With The Power off stick the USB stick in
4. Turn the power to VU + Solo2 back on
5. Press power button to start upgrade

Before you do anything need more information. What do you mean it down.

No power? Not booting? Constant spinner? BBC 1 not working? Or that is working but others aren't?

Try give some more details or you might end up refreshing your box for no reason.

What is your current image?

Hi how it started the box went down over night . And ended up with just a picture with no access to menus. So was going to flash with vix.?

Well theres no magic download. You should try using a computer or laptop to ftp to it and back up /var/keys/

Reflash with your chosen and image and you should be OK.

If you reboot the box what happens? Something should load up... Sounds daft but have you checked your remote?

Hi it just comes up with picture no access to menus. Yes checked remote.
Don't know why it does it. It's like someone has programmed it to do it.

It looks like youll need to reflash it mate the image appear corrupt if it not responding to the remote.

Did not start out so good pressed download on my phone.
thick or what so logged on to work computer to download and it says had my download limit for the day so will have to wait till tomorrow now to start. what a plonker just the way my day is going.
