picons

hi guys#

i'm having trouble finding the usb drive on my solo2. i want to save all picons on my usb and not on hdd. but i cannot seem to find the usb drive on my solo2. EPG location in setup>system>epg>settings>epg location - i can only see \media\hdd. Also, rats picon updater only finds hdd.

I've created a picons folder in the root of the usb, but rats plugin cannot find it?

is there a simple guide here where it tells me how to set up picons on a usb and then using rats to update?

format usb stick in pc to fat/32 create a picon folder on root
inset usb into solo2 and reboot receiver

see if it shows then mate

ok basically, i want to see the picons on my channel lists.
i heard having picons on USB is more efficient.

How do I get the best picon pack on a usb stick and how can the box detect it?

thanks Rat. I did this - formatted, created a picon folder at the root and then plugged it in. let me try again. when i plug it in, what do i do? i need to put the picon files to the root folder first no - and then your plugin can detect?

Box should detect it

I just do what I said tbh and it works

you can either just create a folder called picon on root or put the folder with all picons in it
reboot and should work tbh
use DW Picons or anggels picons would be my choices

thanks, so i download the DW picons etc from here, and then copy to the picon folder at the root of the usb right?

I've got a picon folder on hdd, as i downloaded a plugin into this. can i just delete this now?

i think its worked thanks Rat. there are still some channels with no picon though, like ski1, channel 5, gold etc

epg location still says media/hdd - does that look right?

No it should be in media/usb/picon
