No channels after scan

Hi Guys

I'm not getting any channels after a rescan, a bit frustrating. bouquests are showing n/a next to the channel programmes etc, just nothing seems to work. NO FTA channels available either...

I get the following message on restart: "Service unavailable! Check tuner configuration!"

Well check tuner config i would assume you have then with the sat finder do you have any signal ?

If not look at f connectors first then lnb.

I think its best my connectors and LNB are examined and amended as required by an expert, I don't want to attempt looking at it as I'll mess it up. I don't suppose I can openly ask if anyone provides this service on this forum?

The "N/A" and "Service unavailable! Check tuner configuration!" are software issue, not hardware.

ok interesting. Do you think I should reinstall the image? scared of flashing in case anything major goes wrong? happy to do it if i need to.

I just flashed latest PLi image and I was getting the same thing
tuner not configured

I have to go out so cant look again until later, if I get a chance today

Re-flash last image you know worked fine.

Do you have a clone box? If so, which one?

What image / version are you using?

By restoring the last backup in image manager?

not a clone. its genuine.
I am using openvix, apollo 166

If you have a backup image, just restore it. You will be working in a few seconds.

If you are going to flash OpenVix, might as well as flash latest 3.2 021.

ok reflashing the new image. How do i know when new images are available and is it better that i keep updating to new versions every time?

Everyone will have their own opinion on this but I would say if you're happy as it is and everything is working fine then leave it.

Sometimes updates can bring odd problems that weren't there before. This applies to all images.

relfashed. Only 16 channels found. I selected not to restore plugins etc - was that a mistake??

thanks, works now. But, still getting tune failed quite regularly!

Do you use the built-in AutoBouquetMaker or Rat's bouquet?

I would consider flashing to latest image especially if you don't have a complicated setup (ie like multisat). If you don't really use any plugins except default ones and only view via one provider (one sat provider or one cable provider) then I would flash latest build.

Ok so i have flashed to the latest build, looked on the openvix website for the latest images and flashed...

Now continue with setting up box as you like it. Setup ABM, crossepg, etc.

Do you still have a problem with some channels because I don't so it's possible you may have problem with sat cable/lnb as mentioned by Ferret earlier.

Yep did the set up, but still got the tune error. Will examine the f connectors and LNB as advised.
