Got myself a solo2 clone today and I have a network issue if I plug box direct to superhub it just won't connect the green light on router just flashes, not matter what I try it won't have it, now if I plugs plot into a home plug it connects fine and away I go, there has to be a fix but no idea what that is.

Any ideas chaps

Cheers

Did you try DHCP you never said in the PM mate

There is a known problem with solo2's and some gigabit network ports. It appears to be a hardware conflict with certain gigabit ports.

if you telnet in and type:-
Code:
You don't have permission to view the code content. Log in or register now.
and look to see if you have:-

Ketmp has said it should be 1000Mb so if you type in :

# ethtool -s eth0 speed 1000 duplex full autoneg off

Then that should make it 1000 full

@loomoo tried this but it didn't seem to do anything

I wasn't aware of the fix ketmp said.
Guessing you have tried a resevervation on your router or a static on the actual box?

Come to think of it i think I had some trouble setting mine up. You bounced your router....sure you have.

Mine is sorted now so I would have only set a static or reservation or both. Defo can't remember messing around with speed and duplex.

I sure did m8, virgin media had to bring me a new one that came today :)

@leemoo, the problem seems to be a hardware conflict of somekind between solo2 and certain other ethernet switches (Virgin's gigabit being one).

95% of people haven't got a problem.

SOLO2 gigabit network port problem solving:

Check the motherboard logo, if it is 1512 then you may want to change.

Remove the motherboard U808 position ASM1117-2.5 1404 and replace it to the motherboard U209 position.

Remove the motherboard U209 position ASM1117 1449 and replace it to the motherboard U808 position.

This change is mainly to solve the network gigabit network can not use normal.

There is a software fix here.
