Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
What image are you using? As said above the default vix image won't mount an ntfs formatted drive. For the older you need ntfs-3g and another package whose name I can't remember but when you try and install it it will complain. For the newer vix images there is read only support provided by installing another package whose name I can't remember off the top of my head. I think I added the steps in a thread on the vix image in the downloads section if you want to take a look.
Yes, initialisation basically formats it for linux and remounts it. You have lost everything i'm afraid.Im using vix Helios, build 010,kernel 3.3.8 it's a clone build from AJT off here.i went to initialisation and it was showing up in there, so i initialised it and it formatted the hdd i think, because it sows up now in locations but I lost all my stuff off there :-(
If drive is still in ntfs format then you may still be able to recover from the format. So guys the hdd is in ntfs format and thats why it wont read it im guessing from what your saying, but where do i dowload these from libfuse2 and ntfs-3g.Cant seem to find them anywhere.
