hey

problem 1

a box lonrisun box running apollo 147 i think

the epg was working before but for some reason will not download the epg of premium channels now.
it downloads the fta channels no problem but the premium channels are blank unless you click on them then the epg will show u whats on now and next.

i tired flashing a backup of the image when the epg was working a few months ago
changing the save location of the epg.

neither of these worked
anyone have any idea whats the problem

i tired flashing a backup of the image but still get the same problem

anyone got any ideas

The problems maybe related because if you use OpenTV 28.2 from within CrossEPG for your EPG data then that needs a free tuner.

You said you think you're using 147?

1. Have you recently upgraded image or recently flashed anything prior to you having this problem?

2. Can you confirm what setup you're using like just FIXED 28.2 for $ky and that you have two separate sat cables going from dish/LNB to each of your inputs on your solo2?

3. If you do have two separate sat feeds and you're not recording anything then then can you go to a working FTA channel like BBC1 and then press Menu then Setup > Service searching > Sat Finder.

If you do have two separate sat feeds then within Sat Finder you should have a lock and hopefully higher than 70% SNR. If you do then can you scroll right on Tuner (should already be highlighted) so instead of displaying "Tuner A..." it then displays "Tuner B..." instead (or vice versa). I need to know whether you're getting good signal and tuner lock on both "Tuner A" and "Tuner B"?

one of the coaxial was out of the back of the box. cant believe i was to lazy to check the other night but just wasn't in the mood to listen to the head wreck owner of the box.

i reason i wasn't sure of what image is on the box is cuz the guy who has the box is an absolute head wrecker.
he rang me the other night at 11.30pm screaming down the phone that the box wasn't working.
long story short he unplugged the homeplug that morning when using the vacuum cleaner.
that's probably why the coaxial cable was out. he went messing with the box on that occasion and never put the coaxial cable back in.

thanks for the help im grateful to get this guy off my back for another day.
