Hello

A year ago i got caught with the solo2 timebomb and had to have my flashchip replaced,
I bought my solo2 Xmas 2013 so was one of the early versions
I beleive i upgraded it to v2 with the serial cable

When i got it repaired i installed an openvix image that was clone safe for v2 and i have stuck with it ever since due to fear of getting burned again

Until now

I want Kodi xbmc, is it possible to install this as a plugin or do i have to update my image
If i have to update my image is there a v2 compatable image out there i can use?

If i have to upgrade my box with the serial cable (i really dont want to in fear of bricking it again)
Is there a safe no brock method?

All i want is to add is kodi (xbmc) please
thanks for any replies

Go and fine the opkg files and ftp them to your box and download kodi from feeds, i ran the same image and kodi and tsmedia always worked fine

Hiya

Thankyou for replying

If i understand you, by updating the opkg files this will give me access to the latest feeds in which i can download kodi as a plugin?
Will kodi work ok with a old version of openvix?

Actually that link is the image im using :)

After reading this thread I tried to update my Apollo 15 image with the new opkg files to install Kodi as well. The box just crashes every time I try to access the feeds, any ideas?

The feeds in that image are old now and may have stopped also.

Attached are current feeds. Just replace attached files with those in "/etc/opkg"

I did read that Vix are looking at trying to stop people simply replacing the opkg feeds!
