purchasing solo2

Hi Guys,

Was away for a while and had originally purchased a solo2 lonrisun.

I need to purchase another one but am getting confused now with so many different version including a SE version.

Could anyone be kind enough and update which is now the better model to go for?

I am also going to through the forum so apologies if already answered somewhere.

Edit: I purchased my last one from L&W and I see the one they sell now looks the same does it mean it is not the SE?

Obviously an original is better to go for as it saves time in long run of worrying about clone bomb and you have access to latest images without worry.

If an original is too expensive then personally I would go for a Sunray Solo2 as it's support by sim2 team (ie dream multimedia) and are also releasing very regular clone safe images with latest patched drivers unlike other clone manufacturers.

If getting a Sunray clone, check with supplier can it run images from dreamoem (official support site for Sunray) as there maybe clones of clones out there but not sure.

They may say it takes original images which is fine and maybe true but who knows in future what Vu have in store. At least with clone safe images, you're protected that little bit more from any possible future clone bomb.

This is just my opinion.

also is solo2 se the mini version or is there actually a SE version of the normal solo 2.

Solo 2 SE clone is same as Solo2 except it doesn't have display on front. I think it's like a mini Solo2.

I got a Genuine Solo2 from eBay with a 160GB drive to test out for £200. It updates with the correct images/updates.

Remote control is rubbish though, so have bought a Duo2 remote, and will test this once it has arrived.

Does the remote that came with your solo2 control the TV?

Just told 5 people by pm on a irish forum to get sunray solo2 also .As theres first class support from the Sim2 team.
And you have ketmp openvix images your not going to get anything better out there .

And even if the lonrisun clones get new software before {or even} the chinese new year 19th this month .
What happens when vu change something again .We have to wait months again. would you feck off this is not support this is what you call taken the mick .

So i will not been buy any lonrisun boxes in the future .
Lesson learned .
