Anyone having trouble downloading VIX plugins?

Im running Apollo 035 and getting no plugin list and cannot perform software update either. Been like it for a while now too

Feed location has changed. Two ways to solve this:-

1. Update to the latest Vix. This option is only possible depending on whether you have a clone (and by which manufacturer) or original.
2. Manually change the feed files. This requires bit of knowledge of FTP and ideally telnet.

I'd suggest option 1 if you have an original.

ah that makes sense cheers. I do have an original but don't really wanna go through all the grief of reloading plugins and what not. Has anyone got the new feed files from etc/opkg by any chance?

Just tried flashing latest image but for whatever reason after going through flashing process it just boots up back to existing image so would be grateful for the files if anyone has them

I would recommend openvixHD 71.its a modded Vix image by rossi2000 been using it for a while and quite like the look and available from Vix downloads (if you have genuine box)

Do a backup of settings and plugins and update via usb as it has to be a clean install but you can reinstall settings and backup once flashed.

Tried it m8 but the bloody thing just boots back in to 035 build. Dunno what's up to cause it

It's obviously not flashing at all.
Make sure flash drive is formatted to fat32,make sure your putting correct folder on usb, unplug any other USB ports.

Done all of that m8. Formatted with hp tool. Put vu plus folder on stick root and nothing else plugged into usb. Can't understand it

Not trying to get you to suck eggs but just incase mate...

How to flash a Vu+ Solo2. Items you need before we start.
1. A suitable USB stick formatted to FAT32.
2. Image of your choice
3. Compression software such as 7zip.
4. HP Format tool ( not essential but highly recommended )
5. Teracopy ( again not essential but highly recommended )
6. A clean pair of underpants, just in case things go wrong.
For this tutorial we will be using the latest OpenViX Image which can be downloaded from vix
For links to the above mentioned software please see page two of this tutorial.
Preparation.
1. Format a USB stick to FAT32.
2. Download the image of your choice and extract it to your desktop.
3. Open the folder you extracted to your desktop, in this case named openvix-3.0.658-
vusolo2_usb, you will see another folder named vuplus, this is your image file. Copy the entire vuplus folder directly to the USB stick.
Flashing the Receiver.
– Fully power the receiver down via the rocker switch at the rear of the receiver.
– Insert the USB stick containing the image files into one of the USB ports on the receiver.
– Power the receiver on from the rear rocker switch and await instructions.
As your Solo2 starts to power up you should see a prompt on the receivers display asking you to press the power button, at this point you need to press the power button on the front of the receiver, ( the blue circles to the left of the front panel, this is a touch sensitive button ).

Lol. Yeah done that. Dunno why it won't work. I'm thinking if I can get hold of the feed files I can do an online update to update image

Vix have moved servers mate and no image before Vix 54 will now have access to feeds plugins and other changes
You will be much better off clean flashing if you are to continue on Vix..
Have you tried another image and see if that takes like OPENATV 4.2.basically same as Vix

Nah. I'll give that a go then m8 once the wife is off it and see what happens

Once again you you have illegally breached my copywrited works, either have the decency to respect my legally binding copywrite and upload the entire, undoctored, .pdf file as I published it or I will proceed with legal action against you and this forum for continuous and flagrant breaches of my copywrite.

damn really??? You wanna take legal action for someone trying to help others.

Have you nothing better to complain about! If you created this pdf then it was for the purpose of helping surely so whats the difference? Get over yourself ffs!

No but I will take legal action against a person who continues to brazenly breach my copywrite when he has in the past been asked not to. Any one is free to host my tutorials but they do not have the rite to copy and paste portions from it without my express written permission, As I am well within my legal rites to enforce.

No worries the original is in downloads somewhere..
Will sort it out when I get finished making clone safe Vix images for the nice vu+ clone owners.

I could care less what you do with the ViX image, it's open source but my tutorials are my copywrited works and I have the legal rite to protect them.
