VU SOLO PRO vs X SOLO MINI 2 vs VU PLUS SOLO2

Hi All,

I just got back to SAT TV thing after a break and I will need youe expertise knowledge/help.

I want to ask for an advice on good E2 HD receiver that has similar UI as the dream.
I like the sat/folder kind of set up that dreambox has.
I'm looking to order a clone from china so any suggestion would be great.
I currently use an openbox and I previousle used a Dm500. The openbox is crap so I'm planning to replace it.
I'm thinking between Cloud Ibox 3 or Vu+ range ( clone versions ).
Not too much into tweaking just like to watch TV and IPTV option is preffered. WHich of the subject clones has the best support/quality?
Which one do you recomend? DO I have to flash new images frequently or not?

At this moment in time i would steer away from a VU+ clone..its getting real complicated with timebombs and different box manufacturers and image chasing.
Try a dreambox dm800se 8ap sim,Cloud ibox is a surprisingly good box.

Awww mann I'm getting contradictory messages past few days. Most people say stay away from Ibox and that apparently the vu series manifactured by Lonrisun Technology have the best quality and support. I'm going mad over past couple of weeks. The more I go into detail, the more confusing it gets.
Getting really desperate now.

The problem, I read, with ibox is that the cable tuner is poor. I'm not sure if there are problems with sat tuner versions.

Out of the the different clone VU series then yes it's a pain worrying about clone bomb but I agree that at this time Lonrison do have best support but it's likely VU+, if they decide to do so, would go after Lonrison boxes first (again) as they're the most popular.

The dm800se is only a single tuner which is behind in times I think. Is there such a thing as a cheap dm twin tuner like there is VU+?

It's worth pointing out that didn't dreamboxes clones have similar problems ages ago when they were targeted by dream but that dream only specifically went after clones once (to the best of my knowledge). VU may leave clones alone now but they may not. No one really knows.

The thing with the Dreambox clone is there always recoverable with a software solution unlike the VU solo2 clone that needs nand chip removal. trouble with the DMM clone is there now so slow compared to the VU+ ones.

But as AJT says you really need to know what your doing with them flash the wrong image and your in a boat load of trouble costly trouble.

If you do go for the solo2 ask your supplier where to download images from and never do online update. Use it as a sat box and not a toy your constantly going to mess around with changing images ect and youll be fine.

I will ask manifacturer what image to use and I wont be messing about too much online. If all the plugins work, then I dont need to mess around.
Will share feedback once I get this one on hand.

If you are in the UK then get a cloud ibox off flea bay or bamazon.At least the sellers are in the UK.
Cloud ibox is very well supported on here and has a great site for images with vix,pli,bh,atv ..I have used one and my family still do they are a brilliant little box for the money..i have seen them for cloud ibox 2+ single tuner £69..delivered.

Not in UK mate, I'm from Macedonia.
Was about to buy the IBOX II PLUS (same price as solo mini 2) but then most people told me to go for the SOLO option from Lonrisun.
Really confusing but I have to decide as its been keeping me up for the past two weeks )

I have a few boxes and the last one I bought was the X Solo Mini 2 and I cannot fault it for the money.

Running OpenATV 4.1.

I got these options:
X SOLO MINI 2 from Lonrisun for 113$ including delivery.
X solo Mini from other manifacturer for 99.5$ including delivery.
CLOUD IBOX3 for 110$ including delivery.
What do you think I should go for? IBOX3 has best specs out of these

Hi mate,

I'll take your advice and will get the IBOX II Plus if you say they are goon enough boxes for the money.
DO I need to pay attention to some SW/HW details before I purchase, or all Chineese clones are of same quality.
Which Image should I ask them to preinstall Blackhole, openpli, openatv?

There are a couple of variations but if you read the cloud ibox threads and what our Ferret has posted and you won't go wrong anywhere.

I've ordered an Ibox II plus so lets see what I'll receive in a week or two.
I'll share the details before I do anything to this box.

Was just wandering that's all as they are available on fleabay for £60..that's the uk one..

YEah but postage to Macedonia is expensive vie fleabay aprox 30 pounds .

I can cancel the order from China and I'm willing to pay 10eur extra if the ones sold on fleabay from UK are original and have guarantee and support.
WHat do you think?

To the best of my knowledge they are not original. None of these boxes are actually original boxes in their own right, rather clones based on some originals.
