vu solo 2 clone remore control

iv had my solo2 clone for a couple of months and im loving it so far except the remote is crap, iv followed a couple of guides, took it apart turned the silver discs over, turned of the hdmi cec, most of the thing that's been suggested its still no good I have to point remote directly at it, the tv remote works fine on both so im after another remote any1 no of a place for a good 1? original if possible and to expensive, thanks

I love my One for All urc 7140. It works perfectly on my vu solo2 clone. Really good build and perfect button operation. Had to send it away to OFA to get the solo 2 codes added but only cost £2 postage as the return postage was free. My remote cost £15 on amazon but u can get the 1, 2 or 3 device equivalent for less than that from ASDA.

I was thinking of just geting a replacement the 1 with the keyboard on the back if they are any good or just the plain 1 as they are pre set for the vu

I self modded mine and it's been great until the last few days where the keypad has once again started to feel slightly vague. Am going to open it up again and take another look at it to see why.

Mine inly works if you pount it directly in front of it my vu duo remote didn't I could point it at the ceiling and it would work

Is this the only thing wrong with the VU solo 2 clone remote? Not being able to control the TV? If so, brilliant. As I'll be honest, I use 3 remotes now anyway. One for TV, another for my 5.1 system, and one for the dreambox.

Can anyone confirm whether the original remote works with the clones?

Also please attach image to show which one is it, I will be looking to get a remote which I can use to control the tv.

i have smashed up the remote that came with the solo2

and bought this
it works and feels perfect
eBay item number:321326281983

this remote works on all vu models
it also controls the tv

Yes I use 2 of the newer type and the remotes shipped with genuine box works fine on my clone.

I ordered that remote from the same guy on sat night £20, Im glad you can confirm it working with solo2. iv gave up on that crapy remote having to press the buttons 2-4 times for a response

Take out batteries and Put it in the bin and buy a genuine one seems to be the general consensus.

Take it apart u will see on the board 4 silver discs peel back the tape and turn the discs over facing up reassemble and clicking stops, it won't make up for them beeing crap tho

ordered new one today from ebay but thought id try to see if there was a way until I had the new one delivered. Will swap the discs over and see if it solves the issue.

Turning the discs over for me did nothing, the remote was still vague, what did work though was to keep the discs the way they were but to use some force to try an flatten them. After doing this the remote was fine but recently has started once again to be vague.

The same thing happened when I done it frustrated me every time I used it iv been using the tv remote but it limited function
