Hi all,
I cannot record on the solo2 anymore. "Writing error while recording. disk full?"
I've checked my hard drive but i'm not able to see anything and therefore cannot delete anything.
Also, when I go into my recordings my box hits the "black screen of death" and restarts.

I'm using Vix.
I'm trying to FTP into box and delete programs off there, but I don't know where they are located...

help would be appreciated.

Thanks
L

There is a symbolic link called "hdd", that will get you there directly. Long way round is /media/hdd. Whichever way you go, there will be a folder called "movie" which contains the recordings.

Also check your mounts in case the HDD has been changed somehow

Blue button>VIX>mount manager

20131015_210222.jpg20131015_210254.jpgyep so I ftpd and went into /media/hdd and folder called "movie" and saw nothing in it.
When I try viewing my recordings on the box - I see nothing. see attached.

I have just checked my mounts. Attached is what I see - it looks weird because it sais mount: none :s

also, when I press the red button to "use as hdd" I get the attached screen of death :s

Do you have TSpanel installed by any chance? (Not referring to TSmedia.)

Anything OpenPLI based like VIX can have issues with mount points if the TSpanel is installed.

Even uninstalling it will not always cure the issue.

If the above is the case then start from scratch reflash.

Yes - but I think I get an error message with it?

I think it might be TS Panel, because ever since I installed it I had this problem.

Can I try to uninstall TS Panel at least?

Or you think there's no chance and I will need to re-flash?

If so, (1) will I not be able to use TS Panel then?
(2) how do I reflash, and if I reflash do I lose all of my plugins and recordings?

Try uninstalling it but usually does not solve the issue.

Reflash the same way you did to start with by USB you will loose it all.

ok now. reflashing...

Recordings are kept on HDD, the image is on the internal flash memory of receiver. The only thing that will mess up your receivers is if you re-initialise (format) the HDD, or the HDD has a hardware fault.

If you create a settings backup, provided the media containing the settings backup is connected at reboot, you can flash a new image and restore the saved settings/plugins/bouquets/cam configs at the first install wizard. TSPanel is not included in the saved settings.
