VU+ Solo Have I bricked it

Just looking for a bit of advice I have a clone vu+ solo with v2.0 sticker on the bottom and ive put the latest blackhole image on it and now theres no picture or sound just the green light on it looks like I can still put images on via usb but no matter which image I use still the same it acts as tho its took the image but no sound or picture cant even put the box into stand bye with the remote.

First of all you need to know what clone it is, more likely than not its a Ferrari. Once you determine it is maybe see on the their forum for recovery tools. You will need a PC with a serial port running XP to fix it. Being a V2 it uses old drivers on the old 3.1.1 kernel, you can't use images with the 3.9.6 kernel.

I take it you don't have a backup of the image you had on before you flashed with newer image ?

I would look for an older image, maybe the newer image has drivers that your receiver isn't compatible with ?

Yeah ive tried an old BH image a few times but its just the same looks like it takes the image fine with the usb and once its finished I reboot the box without the pen drive in and all I get is the green light

Have you tried formatting the usb stick and trying another just to be sure it's not the usb stick that could be the problem

Did you get this sorted? Thinking of changing image of my clone but in 2 minds at the minute

Thanks for the help guys I put a Ferrari image on it and it booted straight up then put black hole 1.76 on and all fine again
