Take a look at the right hand side of the mobo there will be a up right chip it may have the version number on a sticker on the chip.
Sometimes there is a sticker underneath. If not post a picture of the mobo and i may be able to identify it.

Im stumped but i do know the V2 came out towards the end of 2012.
If your box is as you say only a year old I think a V2 would be okay to try..just ensure image is absolutely correct for your box?.
It originally had an openvix image on, not sure what version and began playing up, I thought I could just update it like the dreamboxes, so tried that and got a black screen, I've managed to flash a boot loader, but that was trial and error a ssome would not work, I've downloaded a few images, but they don't seem to want to go on... Any v2 images you would recommend?

If you've done an online update, you may very well have "Bricked" your box mate.
At the momemnt, replacing the nand chip is you only lifeline. (open for correction though)

Where did you buy it and how much did you pay and what's the box called?
Vu solo-solo pro-mini?
It does not look like a Ferrari Clone.
If you load a usb stick with a solo image to flash it does the USB stick flash ? If it does its not bricked just use earlier image till you find one that flashes and boots.
Then it may help us suss out the version of it if it is a clone.

You can go upper but keep in mind that for:
- BH image not upper than version 2.0.8
- VTI image not upper than version 6.0.5
Or you'll brick your vu solo clone
i've one solo pro i've bricked again even if i've installed (BH2.1.1)an image on a site from my chinese supplier!
the best i think is PBenigma for this box
There is no evidence of a security chip so could this be a real box on an old cfe so it not taking new images ?
