Other Trouble Re-flashing VUsolo

My Solo wouldn't start up so decided to re-flash it. Put Blackhole on a stick (in a folder called solo, in a folder called vuplus)

When I power up with usb in front slot it gets to flashing green but no further, can be like this for an hour.

When I powered off then back on I just have a black screen!

Tried again with openvix-zeus but it's the same.

Anything I can do? Is it the wrong image?

It did have Vix on originally.

make a folder on your USB pen drive called vuplus

Then inside the vuplus folder you make another folder called solo

So now you should have a folder in on your PEN drive root like this

vuplus/solo

Copy the following USB Image files from the ZIP/RAR achive to the vuplus/solo folder on your PEN Drive

boot_cfe_auto.jffs2
kernel_cfe_auto.bin
root_cfe_auto.jffs2

Power Off Solo
Insert USB Pen Drive in the front USB socket Power on Solo

The display window will show an orange/red LED constantly lit.
This means it's reading the data from the USB Pen into the buffer

Then
The display window will show the orange/red LED flashing
This means it's now flashing the data to the receiver

Wait until the LED changes to a Green Flashing LED

When Green LED is flashing you can now safely power off the receiver and remove the USB Pen Drive

Now Power on and wait for the receiver to boot

I get to the flashing green, I power off, remove the stick and power on but it just stays black.

is the box original or clone

I presume a clone (can I check?)

Paid £120 for it (new) so guess clone.

have a look on the bottom of the box it will have sticker with v1/v2/v3

Nothing with V1/V2/V3 just a bn number and a sn number.

Look inside sticker may be there.

If not try flash a Ferrari patched V2 image to it look in the clone download section for them.

If your trying to flash a unpatched Vix image it wont boot.

Try this image mate

Well you could now see if a V3 image loads if it does stick with V3 images if not go back to V2

And use this guide with dreamset to load a channel list pay attention to point 4

1. Unrar Dreamset and place all the files into a folder.

2. Start the program with the little dish icon.
Click setup.



3. Click the setup Tab at the top and fill in your IP and passwords.



4. On the Firmware Tab for Enigma1 (500-7020) select Enigma 1 (rel109) for Enigma 2 (DM7025) and (800-800) use Enigma 2 version 3 or 4. Ensure passive FTP is ticked.



5. Now click the save configuration tab and then the test configuration tab to check we have a connection to the Dreambox. If successful press OK and then OK again



6. Now click open and scroll to the settings and select the services for E1 and lamdb file for E2 and open.



Now click the transfer button and then write and wait for it to finish.

Thanks again, had to go back to V2 cos V3 wouldn't boot.
