How do I find out the ip address of my vu+ solo 2?

Is it the same Ip of my router or will my vu+ solo 2 have its own ip address?
I mainly need that for when I have to learn to FTP things I think which should be quite easy but if my vu+ solo 2 has its own ip address I can find where it is

I am currently running the latest version of black hole brothers

Try logging into your router and see what devices are attached to it or use Dreambox Control Centre and use the search function on there to find the IP address.I'm sure they may be an easier way but that's the way I do it!

Ok thanks mate looks like a job for my long ethernet cable then

Is it not connected to to your router permanently?

hook up vu to router....with ethernet cable...goto menu...setup....system.....network...and i think its adaptor settings in there....

cheers mate,now I have homeplugs can I use the homeplug setup to do the same or will it only show it properly with a direct ethernet connection?
