I am using the 2.3.0 CCam on my vu+ solo1 and must say not had a single problem with it u need to manual install it though thats what i have found using vix 3.0 at the moment.

Right here goes lol

Right extract the zip file CCam2.3.zip and then goto Ftp into your box.

Now navigate to \usr\softcams

Now copy the file u extract into there and if using Filezilla once copied over right click the file and where u see the box with number in change it to 775 this is changing the permissions of the file.

That's it when u look in your box on the CCcams setting u will see 2.3.0.

I have also attached the IPK file for others to try on different firmware they are running on there boxes and see if it works on there I no it didnt work on Vix 3.0 so found another way around it and wrote this hope i will help some peeps out.

Many thanks for that. That is one way of doing it. Another is to ftp the ipk to the /tmp directory and install it using the remote. Blue>>Vix>>Install local Extension. Make sure to set it to auto start in the softcam menu too. Blue>>Softcam Manager

Does the ipk you have attached also install CCcam.cfg? If not, one would have to be transferred to /etc

If u ftp the ipk into ect on the vix image it does not install
That's why input this on weather it does in other images I don't no as I have not tested the thanks for the reply and feedback

Being a noob to this and trying very much to learn; where can I download all these plugins? When I used the ITgate way back when this could be done from the box. Is that still the case?

Isn't the vu+ box the same as the xp1000 with regards setup?
