ordered one of these..it coming via courier in morning.
First thing i gonna do is put vix on it .HDD already ere waiting .
I hope they as good as what everyone says . :Clap:
 
havnt got 1 myself mate but im sure you'll be happy with it, never really read or heard anyone saying anything bad about these boxes, let us know how you get on 2moro!

love my Duo, the build quality is something else

when you first take it out the box you think "thats £350 well spent there" :banana::banana:
 
is it coming with hdd?wait till you start playing around with it lol ive ahd one since they first come out ive full hd and 3d connected to a motorised dish with quad lnb
 
When I got mine up and running I was like ...yea this is nice bit of kit ..but not too blown away tbh.

But then I was messing around with my dm800hd clone the other day and I thought ...fook me the duo is a seriously nice bit of kit :)

make sure after you instal vix is do all the online updates via blue button :banana::banana::banana:

you will be mightly impressed and install the VIX image its the best out there. I had a TM800HD before xmas and ended up getting rid and treated myself to a VU+ Duo they are totally awesome
 
They're quality mate, drop the image on a usb stick, put it in and switch it on wait a few minutes and reboot!

Power up, install online updates, picons, cams etc and your away...really easy, fast and responsive.

I dont even want to look at my DM800 clone now. I used Virgins V+ box the other day at a friends and thought 'this is rubbish!' lol

My Vu+ Duo fund is slowly growing :) ill buy myself one for my birthday i think, not to watch or nowt, just to play with
 
I have had mine about 9 Months, no problems. Just installed a Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache, without any headaches. Ebuyer are selling them for about £40.

but its the best box i ever fiddled with lol !
everyone should have one . never mind messin around with all the half finished HD boxes already flooded the market.
Pay the bit extra...its worth it .
Gotta be the best out there ?
 
They certainly are chris.I've had mine for about 6 months and you would have to cut my arm off to get it off me

Same sort of software.

I have used a DM800 for years, as long as I can get the live sports in HD and it can stream via a browser to the PC upstairs, thats fine... I don't really know how a duo+ can add to my needs??? The only thing would be to get rid of the basic sub Sk HD box I have???

Could this do it, I would connect one feed to my motor and one to my 28 fixed, do the auto recording (Season pass) things actually work??

Don't know what to do???

Couldn't agree more with you mate. I've used plenty receivers and too be fair this is by far the best one.

Also keep in mind that the ViX image is awesome and if the same image was available on other receivers then possibly yes they would seem as good too.

you cant compare a DM800 clone to a Vu+ duo,

the only receiver you can compare the Vu+ Duo too is the DM8000 which of course is the dogs danglies!

im trying my best to break it..but i cant LOL
amazing kit ! and worth every penny ! :proud:

EDIT...the vix image is superb and big props to the guys who made it !
