Hello all,

I was looking at getting a linux box. I have read that most Dreambox's are clones.
Can the VU+ Duo do everything that the dreamboxes can do?
That is all as I have been reading about both and just wondered if the support and services are out there for the Vu+ as when I read about sharing etc and search about it the dreambox always comes up as what you need to have etc.

Thanks for the advice.

Forget answering it.
I have just gone an ordered a VU+ Duo. Hopefully it was the correct choice.

Good choice mate. You chose wisely.

Dish size depends on the satellites/channels your hoping to tune too.

Mine should be here tomorrow  and ive got all weekend to mess with it :proud:

The hardware on mine seems just fine mate. As far as Cccam, it certainly does support it and works flawlessly. The EPG i'm using at the moment is the Rytec Sky UK epg and there are no problems with it. there are quite a few other EPG,s you can use such as satmate etc

whats the hardware like on VU+ and does it support CCCAM and Sly EPG?

The hardware is great on both the Duo & Solo. EPG is fantastic, checkout the screenshots in the VIX image thread. There's soon going to be a VIX Solo image too ;)
