Hello Ferret and thank you for the softcam.
I've installed it but still see the old one I had.
Any tips for how to remove old one and install new one?

I come from the windows world and Linux is foreign to me.

Regards,

Got it figured it out. Worked.. embarrassed to say what my issue was :)
So let's leave it at that.

Thank you again

Thank you but at this moment the site will not allow me to down load

After installing the feed above I can only find mgcamd 1.45 in the softcam feeds in the plugin downloads is that right ?. When I do install this it doesn't show in info panel infact it doesn't show anywhere on my box.

I'm just going to re-flash the box it's been that long since I've done it then give it a go. I installed 1.38.ipk but I couldn't get it working. I did all the usual mg_cfg I think theres a sw issue brb

I got it going it must have been a glitch. Saying that, I couldn't get 1.38 or even 1.45 running using softcam panel

Well got I it going till I changed the details in the newcamd.list
Send us a working 1.38 ipk for zgemma openARV 6.2 qwill ya m8, thank you

easier to install v 1.45 then copy v1.38 binary file to the box overwriting v1..45 binary file

I installed 1.45 looked and couldn't see were it installed the .emu. Please explain what you mean binary file ?

binary = program = "exe"

Why are you installing an ipk when the softcams are on the download server? That is the whole point of installing the softcam feed/secret feed.

Stage 4: Activate/control Softcams

Menu > Setup > Decryption and Parental control > Softcam Setup

I'm confused as to which softcam panel I'm installing, 2.0 3.0 Universal 4.3 universal 6.
So have they done away with mgcamd 1.35 1.38 ? And just use 1.45 as that's alls that's in the softcam panel.
I'm now on openATV 6.3 latest

Feed and panel are two different things. Please clarify what you mean.

I post below a flow chart that should work

Softcam feed for OpenATV.

This is not a softcam control panel, it just allows you to install softcams from the plugin server.

How to install the secret/softcam feed

Option A:

Unzip, Transfer to /tmp

On receiver, press
Blue > Plugins > IPK Installer > OK
Select /tmp/ and press OK to install extensions
List of ipks will be shown. Select the one you want, ensure it has a tick by pressing OK, then press Green to install

Option B:
Unzip, place on USB stick
Ensure that no menus are showing on TV
Insert USB stick, you will be prompted to install ipks
List of ipks will be shown. Select the one you want, ensure it has a tick by pressing OK, then press Green to install

Stage 2: install softcams

Once you install the softcam feed, restart the receiver.

To install softcams:
Menu > Plugins > Green (download plugins) > scroll to softcams and press OK> Select the one you want and complete installation

Stage 3: Edit/transfer your config files

mgcamd in /usr/keys
CCcam in /etc
OsCam in /etc/tuxbox/config/oscam-xxxx

Stage 4: Activate/control Softcams

Menu > Setup > Decryption and Parental control > Softcam Setup

If you don't see the above, restart receiver.

Unlike previous versions, there are no config files included. Use your own mg_cfg and newcamd.list and transfer to /usr/keys

I have just installed this on a TM Nano SE M2 using the flow chart above and works for me.

Should you need it, I attach the mg_cfg that Wiz569 helped me with a few years ago
