hi i have a vu duo 2 with 2x Twin DVB-S/S2 and 2 sat cables to back of box how many channels can i record at same time please

You have 4 tuners, you can record from four transponders/frequencies.

The number of channels on a transponder/frequency varies. If you had 5 on all of TPs/frequencies in use onto, that is 20 channels.

hi mate thanks i record one if i record another then try and watch say something else i get a black screen im useing the 2 cables i used to have for sky plus

If tuner setup was issue, you would get greyed out channels.

If you problem is you cannot record more than one channel, then I'm guessing you are using CCcam. You need to use version 2.30 on recent images if you want to decrypt more than one channel at a time.

hi tried turning tuners off it lets me view one and record one

Based on your tuners, you can record from two satellite frequencies and two cable frequencies.

Is this not happening?
What were you expecting?

i dont understand the tuners i have lol thats why i asked lol

You essentially have 4 tuners 2x twin S/S2 to avoid recording conflicts you need 4 cables from your LNB one for each tuner.

Be shocked if he can record 2 cable frequencies with 2x Twin DVB-S/S2 tuners
Thanks. Good spot, my mistake. Sorry @ianw0327

You have four tuners (2 x twin), and only two signal wires. Hope I got that right. To get the most of your four tuners, they should have independent access to the LNB. You can run more cables to LNB if it has spare ports or use a unicable LNB with splitters.

For time being, the two tuners that do not have signal wires, set as "loop through to X" where X is the tuner with signal wire. Will get you more options.

hi what would i gain doing a loopthrogh as google is confussing me and u all have been very help full

Access to more channels while recording.

If you are still confused, set the tuners with no signal wires connected as"not configured". Receiver won't try to use them then.

As far as im aware unless there is a new S/S2 tuner model out the only tuners to have a loop through are the single sat tuners and the cable tuners. If your tuner has a loop through im not sure it is dual tuner model. My dual s/s2 tuner has both connectors labled LNB IN no loopout.

as far as i know it records one while watch one my tuners have loop through and can with the loop through cable but this is way above me mate
