Hey all,

My friend is coming from Germany for a few weeks, and I seen that the VU+ Duo2 is a lot cheaper there than here. So I was thinking of asking him to buy it for me from there.

Just wanted some thoughts/advice really.

What is your thoughts behind the box? Is it worth getting?

I was thinking of getting 1x DVB-S2 Dual Tuner and 1x DVB-C/T Tuner.

Advice would be great.

Thanks.

Sam.

Get a sunray vu+ solo2 you can't go wrong, so easy to flash, images ready on DW I love mine

I have the Duo 2 and well its my main viewing box and id not swap it for anything else on the market.

You can get a Dual DVBC tuner as well for it now.

Get an xtrend et10000 great box and 4 tuner slots so plenty of options, Vu duo2 but xtrend just edges ahead

Oh cool, basically this? VU+® Dual Tuner DVB-C/T2 Duo2 / Solo SE V2: Amazon.de: Elektronik

I think I'm going to go for the Duo 2.

I've not really looked into DVB-C/T2 yet. I thought let it get here and I'll look into it.
How does it work anyway? Guess you don't need a C line? or am I wrong?

without a sea lion its basically a FTA box, unless you have a motorised set up..if you need some additional tuners im selling two on the bay HERE..so you can have 3 dvb s2 tuners...as you are a dw member can sort out a deal for you..

I understand I need a line for the satellite side, which I have my head round kind of.
But the cable side of things, do I still need a line, if so what kind?

Yeah you still need a line for Cable and most would run the nline under mgcamd.

Thinking of getting a new box myself how would the channel lists look with dvb-c hybrid tuner?

Anyone got screenshot they could post? If its worth it I will probably shift duo to bedroom

Imagine another sat position under the green button main sat list and then a favorites bouquet .

ABM is built in to vix and ATV image that gives you a cable channel list

I also use rats for sat

Thanks, sounds good. Is EPG all the same, I use openvix so assuming openepg will work as normal. Also any good deals going round?

I'm getting mine for €359 then another €90 for the DVB-C/T2 tuner.

So works out at around £330

I've got my box today, woop.

What image would you guys recommend me putting on?

Vix or atv on all my boxes

stick to blackhole mate...best images in the universe...second vix..probably the only two you gonna ever need.

Vix and ATV have ABM built into the image, I'm sure bh hasn't but I do agree bh is very stable and not loads of updates
