Hi

I have removed all the info in the CCcam.cfg file and just left my c-line. and saved the file.

So ive gone to the remote pressed the blue button and Voila It works.

Thank You.......

Next is the epg mine is terrible........says its downloaded 998 channels but press the epg button and just shows whats on the the box at the moment.......trying to find one that's the same layout as sly's.......

Have you mounted the usb or hdd you have in the box?
press blue button twice and go to device manager and mount what you have, once it reboots go to menu, setup, crossepg, configure and set the epg download to the usb or hdd that you have in the box the green to save
go to open providers and press ok on 28.2e the green to save
now try and download the epg, onced its finished get the channel list up and press either 2 for single channel epg or 3 for multi epg.

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have installed 1Tb Hd and its all in mounted and working.
Just got to wait for the other half to go to bed as she's complaining about the down time :)
Thanks for the detailed info will update you as soon as I go through it.
One thing I have tried is holding the epg button down getting an extended menu, I choose any of the cool epg guides and everyone crashes after about 5 seconds and the Vu box reboots.......
Do you think it could also be a bad BH image that's loaded?
sorry to be so vague :)

Yes it could be as i have seen that happen before and only a re flash sorted it
make sure you flash an image with safe drivers in, especially if its a clone or a mini vu duo2 you have

Hi Thanks for the reply :)

Stupid question how would I know if its a clone?

I had enough last night and set the box back to default image and loaded openvix image and all seemed to work well but the epg is still nothing like sly.......
Is it just a case of looking for a better epg?
Also safe drivers? again is their anywhere I can find out what version drivers I have ?

Sorry for the questions.

Where did you get it from and how much?
Try installing cool epg on it again see if it works ok now
Any image with drivers before december 2013 should be fine like blackhole 2.0.7
but if its an original it wont matter

Hi All

Thanks for the help so far.

Running still on openvix and all going well so far.......

One more issue seems to be the dual tuners I have.

I have a quad lnb with dual coax that I have used both cables into Tuner A which is VuPlus DVB-S NIM (AVL6211)(DVB-S2)

But only one cable seems to be working in the top port connection.

If I swap the cables round it still only works in top connection.

As im looking to record and watch I need both cables connected.

I also have a spare tuner B which is the same model not being used am I missing something on setup for both inputs on tuner A to work?

Thanks again for the help.

Hi

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Seems like ive sort of got it working I have one cable into tuner A top and 1 cable into Tuner B top.

I have set Tuner a to the settings you have said and Tuner B to Equal to A

I don't know why the bottom connection on A or B don't seem to work? or are they for some thing else?

Thanks

Chuf

You need to connect one cable to to tuner A (lnb1) and one cable to Tuner B (lnb2) then in the tuner configuration menu set both tuners to
simple
Single
28.2e
as ferret has advised

Hi Thanks for the reply

Set up as explained.

what are the bottom connections for on each tuner that don't seem to do any thing?

Thanks Again.

I dont have one to check but if my memory serves me right i think they are loop out connections to send to another sat box
Ferret will know

Are they dual tuner modules or single tuner modules ?

Single tuners may have a loop out dual tuners will have 2 lnb inputs.

Each LNB input needs its own cable and needs to be setup as i described.

Hi Thanks for the reply.

Im with it now I have 2 single tuner modules after a bit of searching on your comments the dual tuner is marked up lnb1 and lnb2 for the inputs.
Big learning curve with all this.

So later on might swap the single for a twin tuner.

Thanks for all the help again.............

Next step will be a motorized dish so be prepared for more questions :)......

Chuf.
