Moving to VU+ Duo 2

Hi Guys,

Currently have a Tech TM-Twin OE,

Looking to move to a Duo 2,

I have a[FONT=Open Sans, sans-serif] DiSEqC 1.2 motorised dish, (setup by someone else I'm trying to get into this)

What would i need to download, flash onto box for this to work?

does anyone have a guide to setup video or walkthrough?

All help with anything welcome!

You need a image of your choice a good one would be OpenATV

You flash that image like this

1. Download the USB version of any image.

2. Unrar and send the vuplus folder to your USB stick.

3. Turn off the power at the back of the VU+ you'll find the switch near the power cable. Insert your USB stick in the front USB port.

4. Turn back on the power.

5. At the prompt press the power button.

On the front display you'll see reading USB device, this takes a while then you'll see erasing then programming.

It will then tell you to remove USB and reboot. Reboot with the power switch at the back.

Get that bit sorted and come back if you need any setup help.

Thanks Ferret, Im all up and running!! all i need to do is sort out the picons, and find out what plugins i need to download so i can record direct to the HDD,

There is no a plugin to record with its inbuilt all you need to do is initialize the HDD and mount it.

If its just 28e picons then use Rats picons there great.
