After the hdmi output on my duo dying (I have tried everything swapping leads / tv's etc etc)

I found a scart to component lead which is not bad, however sometimes the picture jumps but I need some advice as to appropriate AV settings on duo.

The lead works ok if I plug

scart - VU

component - TV

BUT

if I switch

component - VU

scart - TV

I don't get any signal at all - black screen

I think it's to do with AV settings on duo. Does anyone know what to set in the menu option to get it working (or any advice to get hdmi functioning again)

Thanks

are you using 5 phono like cables for component ?
this will give you hd if your tv takes the rgb component cables .I use both hdmi(projector) and rgb component for tv @ 1080i .As far as I'm aware scart will only give you 560

Sorry for the delay in answering, I've been really.

The lead has a scart at one end and 3 phono like plugs (green, blue and red) at the other.

Weird thing is that the hdmi output works perfectly sometimes then is completely dead.

Anyone got any ideas

I am afraid the best you will see out of the lead you have bought is a Composite signal which is below Scart RGB, for this you need to change your setting in the main video setting to something like 576i which is the max resolution of Composite
