VU+ Duo flash problem

Reformat the usb stick your using to start with if that does not help try another.
is it duo or duo2 have you flashed bootloader or is it not detecting usb re format fat32 with hp format tool
Had exact same issue trying to flash mine, tried 2 different usb pen drives. Finnally succeded using a 1gb usb pen drive. Think duo must be picky on what size to use. if you look on web it only says atleasr a 128mb usb drive but does not say maximum size. i had tried a 8gb and a 16gb before success with a 1gb pen drive.

It's generally recommended no more than 4GB..but as you say it's hit and miss.
As pointed out prior to using format the flash drive with HP formatting tool or similar..
I have always had issues with usb flash drives formatted by windows so use the tool every time now with no more issues.

I tried unzipping the image direct to the USB dive but had no joy. Try unzipping to desktop. then on the fat32 formatted USB drive create a folder called vuplus inside that a folder called duo and within that place the files you unzipped to desktop from the duo folder. So what you should hacve on USB will be vuplus/duo/relevent files.

a person said to me today i may need to install a bootloader as there was no image installed when i recieved it,where would i find the bootloader for duo?havent tried anything yet today as im only in for lunch will do in evening

hi .im back to box again, well i bought it from a shop in ireland that has a good name and told me to be aware of clones as they only deal with the genuine box,.how would you know the difference anyway,when i say it has no image on it when i bought it i meant : openpli openvix blackhole etc. but it has factory image that brings a few channels and gives me all other stuff which means it boots up.

This is a rough guild mate..
went out this morning and bought a new 1gb flash stick put black hole image on put in box worked first time, thanks to all who helped without this forum we be all lost and out of pocket ,thanks a million again ,you just open ones mind up and im on the wrong side of 50
