Hi

Hope someone can help as I am tearing my hair out (actually its my wife doing it to me but...)

I have Vu+ Duo BH 1.7.9 and I started with solving a problem of CrossEPG switching to internal flash..I found a fix for this

Now my HDD will not mount

I have tried initialising HDD, reformatting HDD (It is currently ext3) but all to no avail

The result is that although I can record, live pause etc the EPG is not updating

If I try <blue<blue<devices I get GSOD and can see no way to resolve this

For the record I am a newbie and as such cannot contribute to help others with the more technical issues on this forum...but we all have to start somewhere so I hope someone will takje pity on me

i would suggest trying vix but if your box is a clone then make sure you get a clone safe image

perhaps you would like to tell us what fix you have found ?

the fix was to replace the crossepg_setup.py file and delete the old .pyo file and reboot

The file was downloaded either from this forum or the DK forum, posted I beleive by IAmATeaf

can you upload it please mate as i have the same issue on my duo original with bh image..cheers

ta mate..i remember doing something like this before, replaced these files..rebooted and should have showed todays time stamp...but it didnt will try again...

Try deleting the pyo first

It worked for me :)

OK HDD mount problem fixed

I deleted HDD partition and reformatted to Ext3 (Iwhich I thought it already was, but hey ho it worked)

False alarm. The HDD has again lost the mountpoints and cannot be mounted. Going to devices give GSOD

Help!!!

i had a few problems doing mine but i kept repeating the process and finally worked somehow

Have you had any problems with 2.0 inage
not really, initially i couldnt install the .ipk packages, but managed to do that, i havnt any issues with mounting the hard drive, im more concerned about epg reverting to internal flash...its only been a couple of days will see what happens..however i do get the GSOD when i goto device manager...
