just bought a vu+ duo and box keeps crashing for some reason. was on the vix 2.0 image. what can i do

right re-flash vix2.0 image back up and ruuning

i need to install cccam how can i do this

thanks

installed cccam but got an error message when trying to set my hdd. got hdd installed but cannot get timeshift to work

also i tried recording for one minute a move and got an error message write error while recording disk full. my disk is a 1.5tb tbb so disk cannot be full

the recording was saved in /hdd/movie but when trying to play it played but screen stops evry 5 seconds

is the vix 2.0 image a stable image cos too many problems i am experiencing not used vix 1.3 but is that more stable. is there any benefits from using vix1.3 or vix 2.0

p.s any other stable images out there that will to timshift n record

thanks

have u initialised your HDD properley ?
i have vix 2...do the important online software updates(goes to 2.3 i think ? ) .
i have had not one single problem on it .it really is superb

You need to install flash, run online update, mount hdd and initialize, install softcam of choice

My hard drive wouldn't initialise properly using 2.0. Reflected with duo original image initialised hard drive and then reinstalled 2.0. Then upgraded online. Timeshift recording all working perfectly. Love this box it is the absolute dogs danglies.

What tuner setup are you using for your box?

I have found the box generally to rock solid on a simple fixed dish feed of 28.2E but had some green screen crashes when setting up for a motorised feed.

You could try creating a Swap file on an external USB stick which should help relieve some of the workload from the box and improve stability.

Got this from another forum. Had the same problem and followed this and it worked;

Connected to vu duo box via telnet and used :—

umount /media/hdd
mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1 (it takes approximately 15-20 minutes)
mkfs.ext3 -m 0 /dev/sda1

mount /media/hdd

Then, created a folder say "movie" --

mkdir /media/hdd/movie
