HD channels not clearing

hi guys - got vu+ultimo with cable tuner got a sub to a virgin line...using mgcamd1.38, also have oscam installed....most channels working, however some HD channels not clearing its mostly the movie channels, ie sky premier HD . sky thriller HD, sky disney HD etc..tried switching cams to oscam but still the same...any ideas ? ta

is signal ok on them channels

Just checked my VU+ Solo 2, running a sundtek cable tuner and all HD film channels are clearing fine m8

yes signal is fine varies on some hd channels but 60 -65% , currently on sky premier hd teenage ninja turtles but nothing showing black screen..

I was just watching that m8 its fine here my signal is 89%

that is high on cable mine has always been between 60% - 65%, ive checked the sig levels at my brothers house exactly the same,

You dont need to jonnys is just lowwer than yours.

Id say jonnys would be boarder line breaking up at 60%

I just checked mine on Premier HD its 92% with a 6db filter on its high is that good or bad

I suppose as long as channels are working no need to worry. My channels all were all working fine, no glitching or freezing , but recently I got this problem..might try a different splitter, but cant see that being the problem

The higher the better its not like the signals into the modem. Youd need to go well above 100% before problems which is possible well on the db scale you would get an increased reading where % wont go above 100. Your perfect at that Napster

At 60% on my duo 2 id loose channels intermittently, now not directly comparable i know but worth a mention.

have you rescanned channels or are you using ABM could be that the channels have moved . mate had a problem with sky sports glitching and freezing and was channel problem

Not noticed any issues I'm using mgcamd 1.38 with USB tuner.

well guys ,well guys after messing around with new splitter, new cable leads etc..resetting modem, im still getting some channels not clearing,,,i checked the snr at my bros house who has same ultimo as me and his snr levels are around 60-65%..same as mine, his channels all working perfectly..now ive got some of the channels working but some channels the snr rate has dropped to under 50% causing pixalation and freezing.....could it be that my cable tuner is on its way out?

I would try get hold of a yellow brick amplifier think they are made by koing or an equivalent and see if you can boost your signal.

Also read good quality cable and crimp connectors may improve quality too. Worth a shot right? You could always try a vermin box and see what signal you get on that... That's all the troubleshooting I can think of...

Id agree with bally its not your tuner but a weak incoming feed a yellow brick signal booster will sort it.

well this is very odd...at night times i get low snr levels, at this moment all channels are on 60 65 % snr....here is a screen shot of my levels..anyone with more knowledge then me can tell me if they are ok?

I would still get amplifier mate those rates might be acceptable to VM but for your purpose you want it to be near the 80% range. The screen shot shows your levels for your router and what that is receiving. If you got a mate local to you with virmin plug your box there and see what signal your box pulls but I think amplifier will do the trick.
