Yes. They can. Don't have the software / firmware to hand atm though. It's all on my works pc.

If you can wait 'til Monday night, I'll upload all that you need. Unless of course you get sorted in the meantime.

All you need is the USB lead that was supplied with it.

These files work 100% Any problems are user / driver related.
Run the multiloader program, click amss, goto the folder U900XXHC6.
One file will be displayed (along with a folder that is not needed atm). Open it. Do the same for rsrc1, rsrc2, factory fs. Finally make sure that "Full Download" check box is checked.

Turn your phone off, press and hold the "9" button. With "9" still pressed, press the power button. The phone should go into download mode.

Connect the USB lead and let the drivers install. If nothing appears in the box below "port search" then press the "port seach" button. When the software "sees" your handset, press the "download" button. Wait for all operations to finish.

If there is an error at any point don't worry. The phone will not function correctly, but this is because the boot loader needs to be updated.

Restart the Downloader software again, but this time just press the "boot" checkbox in the downloader. Press the boot box and open the folder "BOOT_FILES" and open the only file that is displayed.

Press "9" on the handset and the power button again to get download mode, press port search followed by download. When the download completes, you will need to flash the phone again as 1st described.


When you update the boot loader, you will get a warning about killing the phone. This is normal and I have never seen a handset killed by this software although it is possible. All you need to do is make sure that the battery is full and there will be no worries..

This software is the same that Samsung service centres use along with most unlock shops to do the same job. I have NS-Pro, etc and I actually find this software to be more reliable.

But i had some questions about it.
1) Does it change the button in the midlle of the touch-screen? because i have a internet button there and i would like to have a menu-button instead.

2) I just bought my phone a few days ago so i think i already have te newest software(u90gxxhj1), wil this be a problem?
