Been getting a lot of calls with the number withheld, have answerd some but there is nobody there and other times they have called at odd times, latest was two calls at gone four this morning, had a look on the net and doesn`t seem like my phone supports blocking, it`s a K800I, but I did find a thread that said type in *#30# but it didn`t really say much other than that, I typed the code in and now in my phonebook it says unknown instead of withheld, does anyone know what this code is sposed to do, I`m out the country at the moment, could that be why the phone lists the call as unknown instead of showing the number ?

Cheers, will have to give Voda a call when I`m back, still would like to know what dialling *#30# is sposed to do.

You do know that alot of these numbers withheld aren't actually that ? If you make a call from a phone where you need to press 9 for an outside line they usually show as withheld because of the setup

a lot of them are switchboards with many lines connected m8, sort of like a router with internal and external numbers. when i worked for sky my mobile number was 3112, but only if dialed from another O2 mobile that was part of skys network of phones, and from my mobile i also had to dial 9

you can check the number of ANY line youre connected to (landline) by dialing 17070, or if the number is witheld dial 147017070

there used to be a number ur diale from ur vodafone before ur orginonal number and u get that call for free anyone know it

Yes I'm posting on a 3 year old thread, but I used the search facility so don't even bother trying to flame me! lol

Just came across this video: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YY8OnLAOfS4&feature=related[/ame]

Very useful, only catch is that it isn't in the UK and no plans as of yet according to the FAQ of the site: TrapCall - Learn More!

I know that the witholding of number is done by GSM switches, so I guess the company is a GSM operator of some sort and they remove that mask.

Any opinions or views on this?
