Speaking to a guy at work and apparently the TV Anywhere app now allows you to watch recordings remotely, e.g. on you ipad or android device. You do need to be using the superhub with the latest firmware.

Anybody want to try testing this out and reporting back if it works ?

I`ve looked into this and I can only find an app for Apple devices at the moment though an Android app is on it`s way apparently....

Is it possible to view TV Anywhere abroad, maybe using a VPN or smartDNS?

How would you connect to your TiVo box without the superhub ?

I think it's just the new v6 TiVo as I can't do it with my TiVo. Not sure what version mine is but it isn't 6

I have the new v6 TiVo m8, its a lot better than old TiVo but cant see away to play recordings remotely through the app np at all

Isn't that what the Virgin TV Anywhere app is for ? To playback recordings remotely.

yes it is but you ask about playing back without superhub

EDIT: I misread the post yes it works great, but you can only have 2 devices registered at a time that needs to be updated as my 5 kids all have mobiles and you have to wait a month to if you change devices before you can connect again to watch.

OK, I haven't upgraded yet, still have the old V+ HD. Out of contract at the moment and trying to wangle a V6 without paying more but retentions isn't playing ball. Apparently my existing deal is too good.

@oneman

its worth the upgrade m8 its a lot faster record 6 while watching an other comes out of standby in 2/3 secs, menu don't freeze at all.

You can only connect to the box locally, and as yet, you can't watch recordings.
and the the channels you can watch, are not a true mirror of what you can watch on the box itself.
no plus 1 channels for some reason!
