Hi guys,

I currently have CS access - via satellite, just wondering if there is a such a thing for Virgin cable is South London area.

I did have one of the old boxes several years back that did the trick, but that went down a good 5 years ago - surprised nothing has popped up since

I am open to messages being sent to me if anybody wishes to contact me

Many thanx

pretty sure you will get the answer your looking for mate

cant comment here as i dont have cable lol

I don't have cable myself but what your looking for is available, oh and by the way when your when your cable box went down alternatives became available almost immediatley.

As above it definitely exists, it's becoming more and more public by the day, but all the info is out there.

Defo exists, as they say look around a few forums and ask your current CS provide if they offer.

Next box on my list is a cable box for the spare room to keep options open in case the current one goes belly up.

wont last forever but it's been a good ride so far.

To save me looking in the wrong places - would anybody be kind enough to at least point me in the right direction.....PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAse

First you need to have a box with a cable tuner set up is basically the same as for sat with minor differences, second you need a live cable feed to your home...

Whats a good box to buy?

Well you could go for a dedicated cable box or a mix and match so to speak..
Any box with plug and play tuners will do the job..you can get for example solose with dvb c tuner or boxes like gigablue quad or vu duo 2 with 2 dvbs2 tuners and you fit a cable tuner in addition then there are technomate and other vu boxes..I would always go for vu boxes as that's what I prefer but there are loads of cable boxes now available for as little as £90 ish it's the same as sat boxes it's all about the specs and image support..box images are same sat images so pick a box with your fav image support..it's basically the same for cable as for sat mate just different types of sea lions etc.

Budget isnt an issue really - I dont mind paying for a good product...

But I also wont get ripped off by those passing of bad cs and poor boxes either

I am assuming that this is not just a version of IPTV as this is piss poor quality at present

My choice would be a vu box.no nothing to do with iptv..
Yes just like sat you need a good trustworthy provider.

agree with above, vu+ like the one i, selling lol, but would involve replacing the tuner with a cable tuner....

Yep, cable side works fine you just need access to that side, plus a live cable feed and a box with a cable tuner.
I have 2 sat and 2 cable tuners in a DM8000 and can access both .
Have a look at Vu and Gigablue boxes

I have GOlden Interstar, so far so good. Gigablue was an option but I went for cheaper option.

Amiko T2C for £50, 2 year warranty. Excellent Picture but limited EPG etc.
