A couple of questions if anyone can answer them please?

If I use a dish with two lnb's and disecq with my Humax HDR does anyone know how the channels in non-freesat mode come up? i.e if I have the non-freesat channels from 28.2 such as Sky News and non-freesat channels from 19.2 such as RTL,vox etc does the Humax HDR switch between the lnb's using diseqc automatically or does it need to be done manually in additional settings settings? Could I channel change from Sky News straight to RTL etc?

Also could someone recommend a dish make, from what I've read Triax seem popular. It would be a dish I can use a bracket to accomodate two maybe three lnb's (if Hotbird at 13 gets more free channels).

Many thanks.

Rob.

Not familiar with your set top box but if there is options in the settings menu for diseqc then the answer is yes, simply set lnb 1 to diseqc port 1 and lnb2 to port 2 and it will be fully automatic.

Triax are an ok budget dish, if you are planning on 2 or 3 lnbs then i would pay a extra and get a channel master dish, they have fantastic gain.

Thanks for the reply. The box I have is a Freesat PVR. It has two lnb inputs for recording one channel and recording another the same as a Sky+ box. The manual for the Humax mentions it has Diseqc control 1.0,1.2,USALS,SCD but not how to utilise it on my box. There isn't anything in the menus for Diseqc but could it be a menu that is only active when I have two lnb's attached?

I think I'll email Humax and ask them for some more info.

Many thanks though, much appreciated.

Rob.

Sometimes it may be easier to put an A B box switch in and select the dish you want, input from stb, and two outputs , one to each dish,

F Type Satellite Cable A-B Switch
This may help
