A movie version of TV hit 'The Sopranos' is being planned - according to the owner of the real life strip club made famous by the show.

Fans and cast members have been clamouring for a seventh season or a feature-length version of the series since the Emmy award-winning mob drama came to an end last year.

Creator David Chase has kept tight-lipped about rumours of a return.

But Nick D'Urso, who owns the Satin Dolls club in New Jersey - known in the Sopranos as the Bada Bing - has been tipped off the cameras are returning.

D'Urso won't reveal who told him, but he has cancelled plans to renovate the lapdancing club so it still resembles the club owned by mob boss Silvio Dante - played by Steven Van Zandt.

He says: "I got an inside tip that they're going to do a movie, so I don't want to make any major changes. I'm not going to reveal my sources, but we got a call from somebody (working) on the script."

Just this week, speaking at the launch of castmember Lorraine Bracco's new wine, Bracco and co-star Dominic Chianese called for a Sopranos movie. Bracco - psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi - said, "I would love it. I'm up for it. Call me."

Chianese - who plays patriarch Uncle Junior - said, "I'd be game. Uncle Junior could jump out of his wheelchair."

This post made my day!

After the dismal last season part 1 I was left wanting for more, part 2 really quenched my apppetite but the ending left me very sad, I cant believe Chase killed of Tony.

I guess the film could be about the moments leading up to his death which would make it compulsive but more heartbreaking viewing.

Or it could be about life after Tonys death with Paulie as the mob boss LOL

Tony's dead? Why did I read this post? I started season 1 of Sopranos about 2 weeks ago and am now on season 5 (ep3) Managed to avoid all the headlines/spoilers when the show played in the UK/US ...

Man! This news has spoilt my day

Shit I'm sorry mate, its not concrete if its any consolation. The whole thing was left open to interpretation. Most people dont think he's dead so you decide for yourself.

MODS CAN YOU PLEASE DELETE MY POST OR EDIT THE TITLE TO INCLUDE THE WORD SPOILER

By the way there is no movie, it was all trash talk :(

I was dying to read this thread and now I wish I hadnt, please dont say Tony is dead that just messed up the last 2 series for me. But hoping like you guys said its left open ended and open to interpretation.

A Sopranos movie would be a fitting way to bow out if that is what they are planning to do. Still love the earlier series myself.

Got ot be good news as it could be used to tie up a few loose ends OR it could be used to show the early life and Tony's rise to the top.

Again apologies mate. its just my theory though, the majority of people dont believe it to be true.

Anyway the last series has much more going on than the last episode. Trust me you guys are in for a treat. season six part one leaves a lot to be desired IMO

Thanks for the amending the header Highlander!

gotta agree it was THE worst ending to the best show ever. 6 seasons and then whooosh . black screen . wtf.
