got a letter today to say from sept they will charge £1 per month to receive itemised bills also from Oct any call up to 59 secs will be charged at a minutes rate

how can these companies change their t&cs when they like ?

Yeah, they also cut my 300 free 3 to 3 minutes to 100 on PAYG :(

Ive read somewhere that you entitled to cancel your contract if they do this! Not sure if it relates to you on this, but worth looking into!

not if they warn you at least 28 days in advance via a letter email or text

O2 changed their T&C's last year, gave a months notice, BUT if you took a contract before the letter, then O2 couldn't stop people from terminating the contract as they breeched the T&C's.

I'm sure you will be able to to cancel the contract, and you get to keep the phone. Then take another contract with a new phone! :)
