Generally i think 3's network coverage is pretty good but if ur like me and work all over the place then u will know its quite annoyin when ur up in the hills in emmerdale and ya cant getr a signal. I m workin up in the hills and gotta stand on a farmhouse roof just to send a text message.
I suppose its the miserable people who live there that dont want a phone mast there when they have all that bloody countryside.

3's coverage

I Live right out in the country side and i have never had any network coverage problems. I always thought that 3 used other networks providers networks to broadcast which is why it covers such a large area of the country.

i find 3 ok in the UK but i travel alot abroad and as soon as you leave the uk. the phones just dies until u arrive back which is a shame

I am thinking of changing to 3 soon but after reading the previous post, can somenody confirm if 3 phones work abroad. I just assumed you would be able to select a different network when out of the uk and drop down to 2g

Si.

Hi Sig1973

I have a 3 contract phone & have used it on many ocassion abroad, never had a problem with it yet. Like you say, just select another Network.

ive been on 3 for years and am due a new phone in 2 months i dropped my old phone and the screen broke so i rang them up explaing and to see if i could get my upgrade early due to this bust phone and guess what for all the years of service if i wanted a phone 2 months early there wanted a fee of 115 pounds now to me thats one gready 3 network and ive decided to go with orange

I've found 3 coverage a bit patchy in UK to be honest

i use 3 and i think its got a mind of its own i cud b in same room or same place and can go from full recenption to 0 reception next day

I've found 3' coverage to be pretty good all over the uk. Best think is that I can always get a line when I am at a busy public event such as festivals etc. My mates on o2 and Vodaphone struggleto get a line due to the volume of traffic. I never seem to have the same problem on 3.

poor coverage from 3

i've found 3 to be poor for coverage
in my job i travel a lot in rural scotland the problem i'm getting is i get a signal but 3 only connect to emergency services at some points
i would say that they are pretty patchy

I'd agree with Jim and J35, I've had my contract with them for over a year now and the signal is pretty patchy.

I wouldn't mind if it was consistent but I can be in my house and have full bars then the next minute I have none.

I'm not sure how much of this is down to the handset it's self though?
