Phone Unlocking ZTE Scate how to unlock?

I have a ZTE Skate that is locked only to one network, is it possible to unlock it with a pc for free, or do i need those boxes for unlocking?
I am new to mobile unlocking, but i have some knowledge about HtcHd2 and Nokia n900, i did almost everything possible whit those two phones all from internet tutorials.

So now i want to unlock my ZTE so that i can use my other numbers that i have. please help me.

Hi, the ubuntuone link has also died now as Canonical have suspended the service, do you by any chance have another link for the recovery.bat file software?
