xecuter sx pro or not

got a nintendo switch and checked serial number and it might be patched. is it worth me buying a xecuter sx pro or not.
or should i just follow some guide that don't use it. i take it xecuter has to be always plugged in, if i use pc to setup would i need to do something similar
