Xbox One games are heading up to the cloud and down onto myriad other devices starting in 2019. Microsoft on Monday announced Project xCloud, which it refers to as “global game-streaming technology” that will allow users to play their console and Windows PC games on mobile devices and more.

OMG is this the end of backup games ?

In the video in the link it says that Console games will still be the flagship platform for content.. So i'd say streaming will take years to take hold and more years for it to be the sole platform imo.

I'm just looking forward to playing Elite Dangerous on my tablet when I'm away from home
